lilaë's conlangs

Hi 🥰 ! I am Lilaë [he/him] and I'm a conlanger from Italy. This site provides an overview on the languages and the setting of my conworld Eventoa, a project which I started in late 2021 — most of the space here is dedicated to my main conlang, Dundulanyä. This site is set to become the primary (and hopefully frequently updated) public piece of documentation on my work, be it about the conlangs themselves, about the cultures of the fictional peoples or the setting, which are as relevant to the overall project as the grammatical and linguistical descriptions are.
I was toying with the idea of naming this “ḫamfe lilgatäterān” which means roughly “the cozy home of languages” in Dundulanyä, but that's probably not a catchy name...

Before creating Dundulanyä, I had been conlanging for nearly a decade, especially on the conworld Calémere and its chief language, Chlouvānem — Eventoa and Dundulanyä are, respectively, the “spiritual successors” of these projects. You can find more on all of my pre-Eventoa conlangs elsewhere on the web. (I'm not planning to ever cover them here.)

Following the good practice of POSSE I decided to make the cozy home of languages (hey, it doesn't sound that bad after all...) the central hub for my creative projects and, why not, a way to share things. So 1990s, yet kinda comforting.
Admittedly, throughout the previous decade I used to be active on that social network with a blue logo with a letter used, in English, for the voiceless labiodental fricative, where you might have stumbled on me commenting on the most popular groups and pages about conlanging, at least until for ethical reasons I deleted most social media back in 2020. I'm still active on that other social network with the orange robot, although only very sporadically on conlang-related or conlanging-adjacent communities ...unless you count lurking as an activity.
